I no longer have a watch. I would like to wear a watch in order to know the time of day and to stay on schedule. But, there was a time I did wear a watch on a daily basis and it provided me a nugget for a devotional. I wrote it down a long time ago and just found it in a journal I had created for devotional ideas. So, here it is as I had written it down at the time.
Spent the last few minutes searching for my watch before going to work.
Without my watch my daily schedule at work will be off. I'll be lost all day.
I ended up being late for work. I just didn't feel right without my watch.
Well, when I got to work and took my coat off, guess what I discovered? My watch was on my wrist the whole time.
When did I put it on? How come I never felt it on my wrist? Why didn't I think to look on my wrist? When would I have realized it, if I had not taken my cat off right away?
I was suddenly hit with the thought of how I go about trying to find answers to my problems. Searching everywhere but where the answer was all along - right in my Bible. It, the answer, was with me all along. Right where I always leave it.
But I am not too late to search the scriptures for the answers to life's problems.
They'll always be in the Bible. I need to remember to search there first.
I will title this devotional idea "My Watch Was With Me the Whole Time."
Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
A nugget of blessings in form of a devotional idea.
Every day the Lord has provided little nuggets for us to find and enjoy of His many blessings. It is up to us to "find" them. Some are big, some are so small you may overlook them. It is up to us to dig for them, search every where in every thing. You may be surprised where the nuggets may be placed. There are enough nuggets for everyone. Here are some I have uncovered. Enjoy!! Remember God's nuggets of blessings are meant to be shared.
